Today in this entry I would love to do a review task that I was given by The Butterfly Project which is to test and do a review on this Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera formula toner. As what I was saying in my past entry regarding about this toner, it came at the right time as I just finished my Neutrogena Alcohol Free toner.

What is a toner?

Skin toners are basically an astringent liquid that applied to the skin to reduce oiliness and improve your skin condition.

What does a toner do?

Well, if you are not familiar with toners, you might think that toner is not an important step for everyday facial routine. But toner were the one which can shrinks the appearance of pores and make your face super clean by removing the excess dirt and oil that our cleanser left behind! Toner should be alcohol free as toners with alcohol will tend to make your skin feels dryer.

Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera is a product from the United States of America. When it comes to Witch Hazel (a very popular herb plant used to cure sores, bruises and swelling) a lot of the toners must have alcohol in it. This is what makes this Thayers brand special. Cotton Pads or Cotton Balls?

I always applied my toners or any liquid forms using a cotton pad as cotton pads only absorbs minimal amount of product and makes the application easier and not messy. Although I hate tugging my skin while applying toner, you can always use a tap motion instead of rubbing motion to apply your toners or any other liquid form products. One best solution is also to have it sprayed onto your face and then tapped it with your cotton pads or tissues. Inside this pack from Natta Cosme, they also provide us the Lily Bell Lilian Puff!

What is so special with this toner?

Well, just like other toners, for the first time usage it feels a little bit weird on my face skin. It does tingles a bit and makes my skin feeling fresh! Then, I can see that the toner liquid did sinks onto my skin and makes my skin feels fresh and rejuvenate instantly. Plus the smell is JUST SO AMAZING! If you like rose scent (who doesn’t??) you will definitely LOVE this toner. It feels very gentle on the skin and those are some of the reasons why I am now in love with this toner.

It also comes with a very huge bottle with tons of products in it. This one bottle could lasts me a longer time! it has 355ml of products. Can you imagine how big the bottle is compared to my Neutrogena toner in the picture below? :) See for yourself. It is even bigger than my palm!

Scent, Texture, Color?

I am going straightforward on this matter. It has an incredible rosey smell, the texture is liquidly (of course! haha) and it has clear color even after blending it onto my skin.

Liking it?

OBVIOUSLY! Apart from the nice scent and very very gentle feelings on my skin, it also rejuvenates my skin like no other toners! It just sinks onto my face skin instantly and make my skin has that healthy glow looking.I do get some breakout while using this toner. Maybe it’s because of me changing toners from preloved Neutrogena. But it’s not like acne prone problem. Just one breakout and it’ll eventually shrinks down.

As you can see from the picture above, before picture (even not taking my bath yet haha) my face skin looks quite dry and not alive. After I applied the toner, my face instantly become a little alive and shinier! The shine is not oil ya, by the way. ;)

To answer the question behind the cream pack :

I would say I choose A and B. Sometimes, I applied my moisturizer after my toner application. Sometimes when in need, I also need to apply some creams for acne or breakouts. If I applied moisturizer, I will not be applying my cream and vice versa. :)
