BOTD : Mary Kay Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick (Crushed Berry)

Hello friends! One day to Independence Day for Malaysian people and can't wait for the one day of leave tomorrow. But today, let me just give my honest review on Mary Kay new lipstick range! I only have one shade now to review but i'll be purchasing another one of their nude shade soon.

This was my first Mary Kay product. I have never used any of their products before as i though Mary Kay is just another Avon in the market. I mean, don't get me wrong. I have used Avon's product before but not makeup cause when i was being introduced to Avon, i was in my teenager years. So, i only use their body talc and perfumes. I don't know about the similarities between Mary Kay and Avon but i can say that Mary Kay now has grown a lot bigger each year! Many of my friends are now Mary Kay beauty consultants! :)

So okay, lets go back to the lipstick shall we? This is the packaging of the lipstick. It is a black plastic with Mary Kay's emblem in the middle, between the closure of the lipstick. It has a clear window on top of the lipstick case for easy view of the lipstick color inside it.

Since i am very into dark shades lipstick, i bought this color, Crushed Berry. It looks super bright inside the tube but when swatched it, it was not that intense bright. It is a gel-semi matte lipstick after all.

The lipstick is quite pigmented, giving to say that it is a gel consistency type of lipstick. The color is something that i am looking forward to wear. I love berry red colors on my lips. It makes my lips looks plumper. Haha. 

This gel-semi matte does not dries up my lips at all. I always apply 2 layers of it just to let it stay a bit longer but even with one layer alone, it stays on your lips like nobody business! Haha. It gives a stain like on your lips once it fades away. 

For a MYR 55 per lipstick, i think it was definitely worth it!
