Hello ladies and gentleman! I am proudly going to admit that i am still, in my 30's love Hello Kitty. Yes. I was teased for liking Hello Kitty stuffs at a very old age of 24-25 but still now i am 30 years old and loving it as well! When it was linked to my favorite thing in the world makeup, i was like..I NEED TO GET THIS!!! So, i did. :)
They still have it in stores (online) i guess so you can grab them now while stocks lasts.
They have several kinds of lippies but i only bought 3. Two lippie stix and one ultra metallic lip. All are pink and red shades cause Hello Kitty is more on pink and red. :)
The packaging is also super cute! With Hello Kitty decorations and neat Hello Kitty emblem.
So lets start with the odd ones, the Ultra Metallic Lip in the shade Surprise! This was indeed a very nice metallic red shade. Wearable i should say.
This metallic lip has a red undertone with some copper and hot pink sparkle. Nice right?
Just look how detailed the Colourpop team did these Hello Kitty collection. Even the lipstick applicator has that famous Hello Kitty ribbon decoration!
The next lippies is are Lippie Stix, two different colors. One is a bright satiny red and the other one is a matte Fuschia pink.
The Fuschia color is named Date Mate and it's a Matte lippie stix.
Even the packaging on this one is too cute to handle. Hehe. Well, as you may know if you have used ColourPop makeup before, their lipsticks pigmentation is just crazy! This is just one swipe of the lippie stix and look at the pigmentation!
The last but not least is the Let's Play shade of lippie stix with a satin finishing which i am a bit curious on how it will turn out to be.
Look at the swatch below. The product glides smoothly when applied it and it looks, satiny. I mean, how does a lipstick can have a satiny finished? How does it compare with a metallic finishing? To me, satin finishing is more shining while metallic finishing is more on a glittery effect that makes it shine.
If you are looking for a long lasting liptick with some affordable price, ColourPop is the best choice so far. The lasting power is superb compared to some high end lipstick products such as NARS. So which one is your favorite? :)
