First Hari Raya with Marissa Naureen plus some 'Hotel Drama'

Assalamualaikum semua. Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Tak terlambat lagi kan? Hehe. Raya kan sebulan. Sabtu ni pun dah ada 3 rumah nak kena pergi open house. InsyaAllah akan cuba untuk pergi semua, kalau tak sempat tu maaf yer. So bila sebut pasal hari raya ni, tahun ni we all first time raya dengan anak sendiri. Yes. Orang kata, sindrom mak mak ni memang nak baju anak semua serba lengkap dulu baru tengok baju mak. Tahun ni tak de lah baju zalora lagi macam tahun tahun lepas. No more emel lah, rizalman lah, jovian lah what so ever. Tahun ni beraya dengan baju MC Vogue je! Kelas! Hehe. Penjimatan abadi plus baju dia pun okay apa! Boleh pakai pergi office. Super versatile. Baju Marissa we all cari dulu tau, gigih pergi Shah Alam kat seksyen 7 sana. Nak pergi butik Baby Gosh sebab kat situ je ada jual baju raya baby yang I tau. Murah and tak payah nak sesak kat mall. 

So first day Raya we all decided nak pakai baju warna kuning di raja. Tak pernah ada baju raya warna kuning tau. Ni pun disebabkan dah beli baju Marissa warna kuning, so mak ayah dia kena cari warna yang sama la jugak. Yes. Baju mak dari MC Vogue tu nampak vogue tak? hehe. 

Raya tahun ni sama macam raya tahun lepas. Balik Melawati rumah mama, lepas tu pergi Gombak and then terus balik Penang. On the way to Penang tu memang dah expect akan jem sikit sikit sebab last year pun sama je. So, we decided untuk singgah kat Tanjung Malim kat Yik Mun Pau untuk rest. Apparently, dari Gombak ke Tanjung Malim takes us about 2 hours jugak sebab traffic sometimes tak smooth. So just nice sebab Marissa duduk dalam car seat kan, and the max hours a baby can sit in a car seat is 3 hours max. Memang ngam ngam je lah. Hehe.

Sampai je Yik Mun order makan and drinks. Stayed about 45 mins lepas tu gerak balik. This time ikut jalan dalam keluar kat Sungkai. Macam tahun lepas, jem kat area Slim River tu we all masuk jalan dalam and then keluar balik kat Sungkai. So i'll be the Waze Wife and i shall direct where to go. Hehe. 

We stayed at the Olive Tree Hotel, Penang. The check in was a horrendous moment for us. They double charged me for my stay at the hotel. At first, they swiped my CIMB card and the transaction was declined but i received the message from CIMB saying that my amount has been deducted from my account. The Front Office Manager said that usually it did not deduct the money from the account, it will only just be in a floating state and he asked me to call CIMB contact center to verify. Well, just because i was super tired (we arrived at around 9pm, almost 9 hours on the road with two stops) i gave my second debit card which is from Maybank and the transaction go through with receipts and all. When we are all settled down, i called CIMB contact center and was told that the money has been deducted via my account so i went back downstairts to inform the Front Office Mamager. He seems helpful as he gave me his name card and asked me to send him an email on this matter, together with the screenshot of the sms and the transaction via cimb clicks in which i did there and then. Well, no action taken after that, no update and all. I have to constantly follow up with him on this matter. I called CIMB contact center TWICE just to reconfirm that the money is not floating and yes, both said the same thing. So, at first i thought that i have the assurance from the hotel management but up until today, was told to receive update last Tuesday EOB but no update at all. Last update received was the hotel merchant (Ambank) did not receive the payment. After hearing this, i immediately contacted CIMB via Facebook and their CRU immediately called me the day itself and send me the dispute form for them to reverse the transaction back from Mastercard. I do hope that they could do this as soon as possible. Other than that sad sad situation, i really LOVE this hotel. I love how clean the hotel is, i love their staffs (housekeeping especially), and i love the location of this hotel. Will definitely come back for a stay. 

I tak pernah terfikir betapa senang nya bawak anak kecil tidur hotel. Selalunya memang susah sangat nak bayangkan macam mana la nak bagi tidur si kecil ni, macam mana nak buat susu and all. Tapi Alhamdulillah, since tak ajar anak tidur buai and memang bawa semua tilam dia, so dia senang sangat tidur. Suka betul dia tidur hotel. First time lah katakan. Mandi pun siap beli Stokke bath tub yang boleh lipat lipat tu. Senang jer dah pakai, lipat balik. Tidur hotel pun sebab rumah Tok dah penuh sangat. Semua balik tahun ni. Meriah betul! hehe. 

Tok dapat 2 cicit tahun ni. Ni lah dua cicit baru tok. Hehe. Sama baya tau! Lahir selang 2 minggu je. Marissa & Dayana. Esok besar tengok balik lah gambar ni yer. Hehe. 

Haa tengok lah dua beranak ni tidur kat rumah Tok masa raya ke 2. Memang penat perjalanan raya pertama tu tak habis lagi. Selesa je kenit tu tidur kan? 

We all balik Penang from Friday sampai lah Selasa depan tu. Tapi tak de lah duduk kat Penang je. Hari Isnin balik Alor Setar sekejap. Singgah beli dadih Naina sedap (dah naik harga RM1.80 tapi BERBALOI sedap!) and then singgah rumah mamtok. Mamatok masak mee kuah sempat lah makan before balik Penang. Mulanya ingatkan nak pergi rumah Mak Tam skali beraya tapi tak sempat. Mak Tam sakan beraya hehe. InsyaAllah jumpa kat KL yer nanti Mak Tam. 

We do not travel straight from Penang to KL. We stopped at Ipoh for a night stay at W Hotel, one of the cheapest hotel in Ipoh. I have not been in Ipoh since my PUO days but one night is not enough to explore Ipoh. It takes us 6 hours to reach Ipoh from Penang. You can imagine the traffic. It was horrendous. Kat Ipoh, memang dah set untuk nak makan kat New Hollywood Restaurant (jangan lupa beli kupon parking yer sebab Perbandaran memang aktif menyaman sini) and then beli nasi ganja original. Nazim beratur nak dekat 2 jam okay untuk nasi ganja tu. 

Kali ni Raya memang banyak jalan jalan sampai Marissa pun penat mengamuk masa nak balik tu. She's no longer wanted to even look at her favorite ABC Kids TV youtube video. Haha. Tak pe sayang, you have to bear with us. Your parents ni memang suka berjalan tau! We have another few more weeks till end of Syawal. Confirm akan beraya pergi open house sana sini insyaAllah. 

This would be the best Hari Raya so far if we just close one eye about the hotel payment thingy. I do hope that i could get the refund as soon as possible. Marissa, we have another raya to go which is Raya Haji. Be prepared! Hihi. :)

Updated on 20 July 2018 - Mr. Goh (Executive Assistant Manager) contacted me and has been really helpful in getting my refund back. Thank you so much to Olive Tree Hotel and also CIMB for refunding back my money. I did not get the full amount sadly cause there is a dispute charges which is fine to me as long as i have my money back.
