Assalamualaikum semua! Okay i would like to update my steamboat experience at Pak John Steamboat & BBQ in IOI City Mall. I have actually been to Pak John Steamboat at @Curve before this and when i have the chance to try out the steamboat at IOI City Mall, i could not refuse it!
The restaurant is located at Ground Floor outside the mall. There's an outside seating and also inside. I would always prefer to eat inside, well a mother would always prefer to eat where there's less smokers around right? hehe.
Pak John also uses the method of pay first before eating. So, once stepped in into the restaurant, you can actually see the cashier first. While paying per head, 1 Adult is RM 42.90 ++ and children below 12 would be half the price of the adult please choose the best soups from the choices available;
- Beef Bone Pepper Soup
- Tomyam Soup (My FAVE)
- Curry Soup
- Miso Soup
- Chicken Soup
For me, i would always choose Tomyam Soup over everything. Haha. Cause i am not really a big fan of clear soup. The tomyum soup is also delicious, the level of spiciness is just right.
To cook the marinated beef and chicken and fishes and all, please smear some good amount of margarine before putting all those marinated food on top of the bbq plate.
Oh yum! Writing this post is making me salivating already! haha

Here you would have the choices in the world to make, just to choose which one is the best to bbq or to just dunk it inside the soup. There are many choices of seafoods, vegetables, marinated beef & chicken and soups ornaments such as fish balls, fried fuzhu, taufu and more! OMG! I always planned on what and when to eat just to avoid overloading with food wastage instead but with more than 100 items to choose from, i just could not make up my mind. Even the noodles are just in so many forms! They also have spicy noodles. What?
Just look at the choices of foods to be barbecued or dunk in the soup later on. Hehe. They even have scallops for God sake! I don't even know how to cook this. Haha.
With this little miss around, we have to take turns in cooking but mostly i would be eating and taking photos and my husband would be the cook. Hehe

Dessert time! They have ice creams, waffle, fruits and jellies! Yes! So many choices to choose from yet so little space inside my tummy. Haha.

Waffle, few flavor to be choose from. Of course chocolate would be the yummiest! haha. (are you a chocolate fan?)

The sauces are also hard to choose from. You just have to trust your instinct and go for it! You can try all of the sauces if you want to.
